April 22, 2026. The international IT company Advantix Group successfully implemented a project to introduce the CUTE/CUPPS shared access platform and an automated passenger control system at Ust-Kamenogorsk Airport (Oskemen). This comprehensive solution significantly increased the airport's capacity, improved passenger service, and enhanced aviation security.
Oskemen Airport is a key air transport hub in Eastern Kazakhstan, serving domestic and international flights by four airlines. In 2025, the airport's passenger traffic increased by 14% and reached 745,000 people. With the rapid growth of passenger traffic and the number of flights and destinations served, the airport decided to digitally modernize its passenger registration and control systems using Advantix Group's platform solutions. The implementation of CUTE/CUPPS and a multi-factor control system has provided the airport with the following benefits:
•Simultaneous operation of several airlines at shared check-in counters and boarding gates, which eliminates the need to tie equipment to a specific carrier and reduces resource downtime;
•Support for electronic boarding passes and automated multi-factor document verification at all stages, from pre-flight inspection to boarding;
•Real-time tracking of each passenger across all areas of the airport complex, including automated aviation security checks;
•30-40% increase in terminal capacity due to dynamic resource allocation.
«When airport passenger traffic increases by 10% or more per year, manual counter management and paper boarding passes become a bottleneck. CUTE/CUPPS eliminates this limitation: any airline can be served at any counter, and the passenger control system transforms the entire airport into a unified digital environment, from check-in to boarding. For Eastern Kazakhstan, this is a qualitatively new level of infrastructure," says Timur Gaydarov, Managing Director of Advantix Group in Kazakhstan.
"With the growth of passenger traffic and the emergence of new airlines, we faced the need to radically update our approach to service. The implementation of CUTE/CUPPS and the passenger control system from Advantix Group allowed us not only to automate processes, but also to build an end-to-end digital process where each passenger is served faster and more safely. We see concrete results: reduced queues, flexible use of counters and boarding gates, and improved security services. This is an important step in the modernization of our airport," comments Anastasia Vladimirovna Fomenko, Head of the Passenger Service Department at Ust-Kamenogorsk Airport.
